Our Philosophy

philosophyThe Philosophy of The Hospice of Baton Rouge

Our Mission – To provide end-of-life care and support in a home or homelike setting for patients and their loved ones.

Our Vision – To ensure that no one will ever die alone, in pain or discomfort.

Our Purpose – The Hospice of Baton Rouge affirms life and views death as a natural process.
Hospice exists to support and care for persons in the last stages of an incurable illness, helping them live as fully and comfortably as possible and enabling them to have a peaceful death with resolution of loss.

Hospice will neither hasten nor postpone death. Hospice will help the patient and family reach a degree of preparation for death that is satisfactory to them by offering appropriate care and support to fulfill individual and family needs.
